“Dave A. has learned the Youtubes”

by John Reynolds on March 29, 2009

It appears that former PJ Drummer Dave Abbruzzese has dipped into his own stash of PJ home videos and learned the art of VHS -> USB -> YouTube.  So far he has uploaded 6 videos to YouTube. He is posting the videos under Free Ass(ociated) Records.

Here’s a cool one, with maybe the best view of Stone’s famous Lollapalooza Les Paul confetti party:

The comment for the video is “Filmed on stage when Pearl Jam was a rock band.” I don’t know, there still seems to be some bitterness, no?
Thanks Seth Dolled for the head’s up.

The funny part is how all the videos focus on Dave A.

It’s true, they do! I have an extensive collection of footage to share. I hope you enjoy the unique perspective and unseen content of the videos I’ll be posting. I don’t know how long I will be enjoying this process, so I’ll try and make it interesting for you all. Enjoy.

Dave……are you really still bitter? You are my favorite PJ drummer. You hit the drums so f%cking hard. I hear the difference in that and how quickly you play. Have this old bootleg from the Fox Theater in Atlanta ’93 or ’94 and you are crushing it.

Ah, really great to see!
I have learned so much about drumming through Dave’s playing.
I even bought the same Sabian Cymbals set up as he used, and still use this setup today! Great vids, thanks!

Dave please keep on sharing with us fans, we appreciate the time you put into getting these out there for us. It’s your history too Dave, don’t shy away from it, Don’t be ashamed of it, don’t let anyone deny you of the fact that you are Pearl Jam’s drummer for over 300+ shows and two kick ass albums. Pearl Jam’s legacy is also your legacy, and your legacy is Pearl Jam’s legacy.

Thanks!..
