Melvins/Green River May 22 & 23

by Kathy Davis on May 22, 2009

Seattle history is going down tonight and tomorrow at The Showbox (now known as The Showbox At The Market) as The Melvins celebrate their 25th anniversary.  Helping them out? Why Stone and Jeff and the rest of the Green River boys!  The Friday show is sold out, but as of this writing tickets were still available for Saturday’s show.

The Melvins will perform both in their current incarnation and with their original 1983 lineup, and will perform their album “Houdini” in it’s entirety or so we hear.

Collectors should clamor to get their hands on a Jeff Ament designed poster, published by Secret Serpents - limited run of 150. Looks like there will also be a second poster available designed by “King Buzzo” (The Melvins’ Buzz Osborne) for the Friday night show.   Both were printed by Emeryville,  California’s own Monolith Press.  Rock? Rock!
