Though he’s not known to walk red carpets, there could be a chance that our homie Ed Vedder just might, possibly, maybe attend the opening night gala this evening for the Seattle International Film Festival. According to this report in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: “Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam fame came last year and might turn up again, SIFF staff said, along with one or two other Seattle-based musicians rumored to be attending”.
The premiere film, In The Loop, is according to the Film Festival website “a wickedly funny political farce filled with secrets, lies, leaks, plugs, and faulty intelligence, hilariously leading us behind closed doors to reveal bungling bureaucrats, obsequious aides, and the Keystone Cops of government when a British cabinet member’s vague public comment about a possible invasion create a firestorm of controversy”.
Sounds like a film right up Ed’s alley, eh? I guess his attendance remains to be seen. At any rate, the Film Festival is a great one. I attended a screening of “Malfunkshun: The Andrew Wood Story” at SIFF a few years back – even interviewed Regan Hagar – and it was a great experience.

Hey, I was at that Andy Wood screening too! Didn’t interview Regan Hagar though…
So did you ever hear if Ed showed up?
Never heard, Donny! Have been trolling for news with no luck.
