“Backspacer”? From Turtle to Album Title

TFT co-editor and Billboard.com editor Jessica Letkemann has up-to-the-minute PJ news!

PJ recorded a video for an upcoming Cameron Crowe-directedTarget Ad at the Showbox this past Thursday. The song performed was called “The Fixer”
Album tentatively titled “Backspacer”, set for early Fall release. Remember, “Backspacer” was the turtle that PJ sponsored this past year
Showbox footage to be used for future Crowe-directed PJ documentary
Still possible that more than one new song to debut on Conan

Will people please quit bitching about the Target commercial!! The band isn’t shooting a video FOR Target. You won’t Jeff and Matt and Boom buying groceries there and saying “Target, the one-stop shop for all your shopping needs!” They were shooting a video to promote their OWN ALBUM, which just happens to be available AT TARGET! Wise up people, after 20 years they are not all of a sudden “going corporate.”
