Winnie. Sorry. Wrong Melissa. We were there night two - from what I understand, not the night he was hanging at the bar. Saw Eddie very up close, but only as he got off his bus and at the concert - awesome seats, right up front at the end. We will be at the Spectrum though! Peace, love and Ten Club. Hope they help us out they way they did that night!

My friend & I were hanging in the bar with you & your friend before the show. Did you guys meet Ed afterwards? I heard he was in that bar around 12:30. We had given up & left by then. Maybe we'll see you guys at the spectrum in October.

Solo Eddie, who would have thought? i loved every last second of the show and it was well worth every penny spent. still I havent had my Eddie fix fullfilled until the entire gang is behind the greatest frontman to have walked the stage. hope they go on tour cause i will most definitly be there more than once. thank you Eddie for the music and inspiration you have brought to this slowly crashing world in which we live. Keep on rockin my brother.

Thanks for the thoughtful comments, all, and Adam I stand corrected on the Mark Richards logo! I know who he is well (was at Newcastle show in 2006). As you can see the logos are similar: http://g.imagehost.org/0606/Marky_Ramone_Start_of_the_century-2006.jpg
So I'm grateful for the clarification!

I always find it amazing how there are people who think the folks who are bothered and pissed off by people in the crowd acting like loudmouthed morons are the ones who deserve to be patronized and scoffed at. It's actually scary to think we live in a society where it has to be explained to some that disrupting the, I'll say it, sacred communion between an artist and a listener is rude, uncivilized and barbaric. It disrespects the artist, the experience and the people who are there for that experience, not just to say they WERE there, not so they can count their ticket stubs as proof of how big a fan they are (dear God), not because they can't wait to see if their big yaps made it onto a bootleg. People who take smug delight in saying they can tune the others out and just hear the music aren't hearing anything to begin with -- but in an age where mediocrity is revered and encouraged, being clueless is considered a GOOD thing.

Please note that the t-shirt that Ed is wearing has nothing to do with Marky Ramone, It is the Logo of Mark Richards Surfboards on top of an Australian Flag. Mark Richards is an Old School Workd Surfing Champion from Australia.
Cheers

Ha -- Thanks for the shout out. I did say I've seen the band OVER two dozen times. Just to clarify. Great show. I see a lot of complaints about the crowd. I just put them on ignore. Shame others let it get to them too much.

I was in the 9th or 10th row middle aisle seat. Seats rocked thanks to Ten Club. Had a good feeling about the night before we went. He is such a powerful performer and a total genius on the guitar. I can hear his music over and over again and he seems to know how to make it new everytime. Like it is the first time I am experiencing it live. He is a true artist. Had goosebumps several times throughout the show. I thought the crowd wasn't too bad overall. A couple of really rude guys behind us yelling stuff. I hope he doesn't judge all of Phila. based on a few assholes. It's hard to control your emotions at a show like this because he is so engaging and has such a powerful presence. He flubbed a few lines here and there; it made me love him even more. He is human. By far best show I have ever been too, best live experience I have ever had. Don't think anything will ever top it. Kind of depressing in a way...

Whichever it was, it was pure emotion and I just got goosebumps thinking about it. I also forgot to mention "Forever Young" which was just heartbreaking after he said it was his little girl's birthday.

ooooh thanks Jim! I wonder if Arc is morphing into The Wolf? The usage of that song in the movie made me cry my eyes out in the theatre. (Me=dork)
