PJ To Play Canadian Fest Aug. 8th

by Kathy Davis on June 30, 2009

Yeeeeha, eh?  Pearl Jam are headlining the Virgin Music Festival in Calgary, Alberta Canada’s Olympic Park on Saturday, August 8th.  Weekend passes go on sale this Saturday July 4th at 10 a.m. Calgary Time (Click here to convert to your time zone).

Tickets available at Ticketmaster Canada; single day tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks.  The event website is here, keep checking it for more info!  I guess for a “sponsored by somebody” festival, I can think of worse companies than Virgin. The have some cool record stores and their airline is awesome.

Arrgh! These festivals are killing me! I’m happy for Calgarians, but what are the fellas doing for most of September?!

My record stores went out of business. But thanks for the kudos.

as he said, the shops have closed long ago.
And the Virgin festival in the UK is even more commercial than Lolla ( as in expensive everything, from programmes to drinks).. then don’t get us started on the trains >:{

The airlines is about the only decent thing and then it’s the same price/quality than BA anyway. And the phones are allright I guess.

just saying, don’t care, not going. but hope they’re not doing that one in Europe next year.

Yeah, I USED to shop at Virgin, it seemed like only yesterday the SF one closed.
