Tonight Show Extra Song!

by Kathy Davis on June 6, 2009

We heart PJ.    The line  “there’s a thousand points of light for the doctor man, where is the kinder gentler Pro-Life hand?” briefly references the recent murder of women’s health care physician Dr. George Tiller, who was gunned down while serving as an usher during his church service in Wichita, Kansas the day before the band’s performance.   Dr. Tiller, director of a clinic that performs abortions,  had faced violence previously in 1994 having been shot in both arms by a Pro-Life extremist.

UPDATE: The video has been removed from NBC.com, and is available to Non-U.S. users of You Tube here. Dangit!

Dang. If I had been reading the forum like a good little fanboy, I would have scooped you on that.

Oh, we can only expect the best from them…

Did NBC take the video down? I can’t get it to play here and can’t find it there.

Yeah, where did that go, did no one get it before it got taken down?

I would speculate that the band’s management requested to have taken it down. There’s been a lot of that going on recently.

I’m on dial up and I got to watch it, took two hours to load, but I saw it, but I couldn’t download it, because it was going to take up to three hours — this is on YouTube — when I went to do it again later, the message comes up, this video is not available in your country. Huh? Where am I, Lower Slobovia? Is it because it’s not their song? Oh please…it’s fantastic, too…
