Thick Pix: First 4 Tour Posters

by Kathy Davis on August 17, 2009

Inside The Rock Poster Frame is to be credited for these photos of the varied designs featured on the ever-popular Pearl Jam tour posters thus far.  The site credits designer Munk One (aka Jose Mercado) as the artist for the Berlin poster – an interesting addition to the PJ design pool! Mercado has also done work for the Brendan O’Brien produced band Mastodon, and former Loosegroove Records band Queen of The Stone Age. Me you, you me…it’s all related!

The design of the Calgary and Shepherd’s Bush posters is somewhat of a mystery; an “A” and acorn logo is in the lower right corner, and it is reported that Ames Bros. stated in a private e-mail to an inquiry about the two posters that they did not design them. Start sleuthing!
