Ed Ved on Rock & Roll Hall DVD Set

With regard to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,  Ed Vedder is the stuff of legend, having subbed for Jim Morrison in The Doors induction performanc as well as inducting Neil Young, The Ramones, &  R.E.M.  That said, we’re excited to read this article posted by Vintage Vinyl News about an upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Live DVD Box Set compiling many of the best bits from Induction Ceremonies over the years. You’re hearing about it here because our boy Eddie Vedder is featured in (at least)  four musical performances (three with The Doors, one with R.E.M.) and might just might be in other footage. Time-Life Releasing 9-DVD Set of Rock Hall Induction Performances

Time-Life is set to release a new 9-DVD set capturing some of the best performances from the last 24 years of inductions ceremonies and concerts for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame LIVE will be released September 11.

Along with performances by the new inductees and salutes by others, the set includes a number of the induction speeches and over an hour on each disc of bonus features like behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage. The ninth disc of the set is selections from the Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which was held in 1995 to celebrate the opening of the Museum. All told, there are over 125 performances, 52 induction speeches and nine hours of bonus material.

Time-Life will also be offering a 14-DVD version of the set which also includes the book Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame: The First 25 Years and the 5-DVD History or Rock and Roll series.

After the cut is the list of performances on the nine DVD’s. Time-Life has not provided the specific induction speeches or bonus material as of this date.
