Red Balloon Video Featuring Mike McCready

We came across this video featuring a certain Mr. McCready  by Lauren Zoe Bruno entitled “Red Balloon”, a beautiful song about living with Crohn’s.  As the wife of a man who has suffered from the ravages of this desease for 24 years, I am deeply grateful for those like our Mike McCready and Lauren who are vocal and active in raising awareness about this crippling and painful disease.  Here are a few words about Lauren from Crohn’sAndMe.com

Living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an everyday battle that brings with it many different emotions. Sometimes, finding a way to express these feelings can be difficult. As a person living with IBD herself, singer-songwriter Lauren Bruno understands the complex emotions that it can create. Her song “Red Balloon” gives voice to people with Crohn’s and Colitis and lets them know that they aren’t alone.

Lauren was inspired to compose the song after meeting guitarist Mike McCready at a benefit concert. Mike was so moved by “Red Balloon” that he later performed the song with Lauren.
