Pearl Jam will be in Philadelphia this week – not Camden, NJ, not Upper Darby – Philadelphia! Bruce Springsteen played four at the Spectrum a few weeks ago and set the bar pretty high for Pearl Jam to close out the venue’s 42-year history.
If you are not aware, the Philadelphia Phillies will be playing the New York Yankees in the World Series starting this week. What does this mean for Pearl Jam fans?
- Game 1 – Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Yankees – Wed – Oct. 28
- Game 2 – Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Yankees – Thu – Oct. 29
- Game 3 – New York Yankees @ Philadelphia Phillies – Sat – Oct. 31
- Game 4 – New York Yankees @ Philadelphia Phillies – Sun – Nov. 1
That’s right … last night of Spectrum, Phillies first home game of World Series, and Halloween. Expect a crazy crazy crazy night!

Just FYI – There’s also a 76ers basketball game on Friday night at the Wachovia Center (which is the same complex as the Spectrum).
And on Saturday night, in addition to PJ and the World Series, the Flyers play a hockey game at the Wachovia Center.
Needless to say, it’s going to be a busy town on Friday and Saturday nights!
JR: please don’t forget that for each concert, the Wishlist Foundation will be having a pre party fund-raising event with tons of rare PJ and non PJ memorabilia/goodies for raffle & auction:
Nights 1, 2, & 3: McFadden’s (Citizen’s Bank Park) from 3 PM – 7 PM
Final Show (night 4) 10/31: The Turf Club, 700 Packer Ave (corner of Packer and Darien) 12 PM – 4 PM.
So get your 10c tix and then head down for some pre party action, Wishlist style!
The Flyers game on Saturday is an afternoon game, I think a 1pm start, but it’s still gonna be a mess. Thanks for the Wishlist info. I’ll check that out.
