I believe if you listen carefully to that, the voice is Ed’s, and it is the same track of his banter at the end, sped up and distorted. The, “Mmmm, your dirt is my fucking food,” part is pretty clear, or at least you can pick up the cadence of his speech to realize that is what is being said.

I haven’t listened to this in a couple years so I can’t really provide any more details or landmarks, but I’m pretty confident that is what the voice is saying.

Friend of mine, gave me two X-Mas single as a present. Fortunately, although I don’t have a vinyl player, I was blessed to be gifted with X-Mas Single 1993 and 1995. The 1993′s has doubled its value after reading your article.

By the way, I live in Indonesia, where most of Pearl Jam fans here would subscribe their (TenClub) membership through internet (so that’d be circa year 2000-and so). So, possessing those two singles, from the age of direct-mail, was absolutely something precious.
