PJ Pals Kings Of Leon Receive Grammy

It helps to have friends in high places. Oh, and to write and record really good music…. good friends of Eddie Vedder, Followill family rockers Kings Of Leon were awarded the 2010 Grammy for Best Rock Song for their big tune “Use Somebody”. We can’t say “Pearl Jam was robbed!” when it goes to a deserving act. (Not to mention, we figure the band doesn’t concern themselves much with “winning” or “losing” when it comes to making music).

Kings Of Leon opened for Pearl Jam for nearly all of the 2006 tour of Australia (and in Honolulu), and for four dates of the 2008 East Coast Tour.

Thanks to early reports from the finger-on-the-musical-pulse folks at Billboard.com - Congratulations to them all!

Rock.

That song is one of the cheesiest out there. I hope those TN boys come to their senses while writing their next album. I’m pretty sure Vedder hates that song.

go to youtube and check out Ed with the KsOL at lollapalooza. Awesome!!
Also, check out the story Ed told about KsOL at the Ryman, I think Kathy put it in her Nashville notes.

KoL is the worst band in the land! We all know the Mighty Pearl Jam is untouchable.

KOL is a good band. I just hope they go back to making great rock records and not pop ones. Their last album sucked a$$. Pearl Jam should have won, it was Best ROCK song…right?
