Pearl Jam’s support of the plight of the West Memphis Three is well-documented, and we passionate PJ fans know of Eddie Vedder’s longtime friendship with death row inmate Damien Echols – one of the falsely accused young men. On Saturday February 27th at 10 p.m. CBS-TV will present a ”48 Hours Mystery” 1 hour special, entitled ”A Cry For Innocence” dedicated to the WM3. Actor Johnny Depp is lending his voice to the plight of Damien and fellow convicts Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, convicted of murder based on what appears to be circumstancial evidence, and will be featured on the news show broadcast.
