Mike McCready at Hootenanny for Haiti

by John Reynolds on March 1, 2010

TwoFeetThick.com was not present and did not have any reporters in the house, but luckily the media in Seattle did. Without paraphrasing the events, this review by Travis Hay on EarCandy.com is great.  There is also a separate page for photos.

That is all. Go read up on the events of this great night.

SOOOOOO glad I went last night! Was by myself so I got WAY up front. SEATTLE ROCK ROYALTY all on stage together! For god’s sake : MIKE, MATT, STONE, DUFF MCKAGAN, KIM WARNICK, BRAD played a song together! And so many more local heros and sweet newer acts like Star Anna and kristin ward. And they blew the house down with AMAZING covers and renditions that were often introduced as personal favorites or with a personal story about the song. It was a true HOOTENANNY – a sing-a-long, audience included, with rotating musicians taking the lead. But man – RIVER OF DECIET brought tears to my eyes, and CROWN OF THORNS sent shivers down my spine. The whole house felt it… Damn, what an amazing show. With Mike, Stone, and Matt up there, I was sure hoping Eddie and Jeff would have shown up too!! Got to shake hands with McCready, so it was like a dream come ttrue for me!!! WHAT A SHOW!!! WHAT A SHOW!!! WHAT A SHOW!!!!!!
