Look and Listen to Brad’s WXPN Philly Set!

by Kathy Davis on October 10, 2010

Ah, Brad. The cohesiveness of longtime side project from Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard is thrilling; their funky rock grooves make for the most uniquely engaging live music. I am particularly passionate about these boys, having travelled the country to enjoy them live many times over the years. For your viewing and listening pleasure, we offer you a few photos I snapped, and a link to listen to the band’s short but sweet set from a free Noon show in Philly!

I was fortunate enough to attend Brad’s short set at Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live, which was broadcast on National Public Radio affiliate WXPN 88.5′s concert series Free At Noon. Lucky for you, the entire 29 minute and 48 second set is streamed on npr.org for your listening pleasure!

In case you didn’t know, Brad consists of singer Shawn Smith, guitarist Stone Gossard, drummer Regan Hagar, and are joined on this tour by Hank Khoir’s Keith Lowe on bass, and the multi-talented singer/guitarist/keyboardist, Howlin’ Maggie and Twilight Singers veteran Happy Chichester.  Brad’s latest release Best Friends? is available in the Goods section at Ten Club.net.

A few photos from Philadelphia, all taken by Kathy Davis – credit me if you steal them, or I will haunt you for the rest of your days! :)
