Happy Birthday and Thank You Pearl Jam!

Pearl Jam turns 20

Twenty years old and going strong, Pearl Jam is the sole reason this site exists. Without them, you wouldn’t be reading this. Without them, you wouldn’t have the great songs, amazing concerts, and especially the friends you’ve met because you are fans of this band.

Let’s face it, not everybody is a Pearl Jam fan, and that’s OK. We’re a special tribe for sure. Like you, through the years there have been special friends you’ve met – even husbands and wives – just because this band existed.

With that in mind, we’d like to have this article be a little out of the ordinary for us. It’s not about quirky facts, or retelling a song’s origins, or anything directly related to the band itself.

The fact is that if this band hadn’t existed, the three of us – Kathy, Jessica and JR – would not have the friendship that we have today, and we can’t imagine our lives now without it. Along with that, we’ve met and become great friends with so many people, almost too many to list.

Our list is below, and I’m sure we’ll accidentally leave some out, but that’s not our intent. Use the comments form below to give a shout-out to your friends who you’ve met by being fellow fans of Pearl Jam. If you know them by name, or maybe just “the guy I sit next to at every show who rocks out”, make a note, and please – keep them positive! This is a great day!
