Well I’ll be!  2/5ths of Pearl Jam will be playing live in March!  Tres Mts., Jeff Ament’s new side project with Dug Pinnick (of KingsX fame) and Richard Steverud announced today via PearlJam.com and TresMts.com album release information, and news that they’ll be performing a handful of live shows in March.  The details:

In support of Three Mountains, Tres Mts. will hit the road on a 5-city tour starting March 16th in Seattle. While on the road, Tres Mts. are also scheduled to perform as the musical guest on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, March 24th.

Mike McCready, who plays guitar on Three Mountains, will join Ament, Pinnick and Stuverud on tour.

The on-top-of-things and awesome Brandon at TheSkyIScrape has further release date/tracklisting details all neatly compiled in his post; if you’re in NYC or thereabouts and want to attend the taping of the Jimmy Fallon show on March 24th, info for that is here; and don’t forget to click on the “Band Bench” link and/or pursue that seating – it means you may get to be one of the lucky folks who get to stand in the special on-camera band viewing area that encircle the band when they perform.  When I attended Fallon for Brad’s appearance back in October, I was able to be in the band benches, and it was amazing since they did one song for the show and a second one for the web. Being right there in the thick of it was a super cool experience.

Our Pearl Jam boys are sure keeping busy this year – Ed solo, Jeff side project…we’ll gratefully enjoy the parts while we wait eagerly for the whole -bring on the movie premiere and festival, I say! In the meantime, there is a lot to enjoy.

Rock!
