Vs./Vitalogy Full Electronic Press Kit

by Kathy Davis on March 10, 2011

We posted a minute and some change of this a while back, but the full-on almost six minute Official Electronic Press Kit for Pearl Jam’s upcoming Vs./Vitalogy reissue has surfaced. The video features Jeff Ament and producer Brendan O’Brien chatting about the making of both records, and includes shots of handwritten lyrics, unique photos, many little live video snippets from the time -including some crisp live footage of “Animal” – and more.  Amongt the photos that scroll by are things like Ed’s handwritten note to Brendan calling the “Betterman” chorus “too fucking poppy”, doodlings and sketches for “Glorified G”, drawings from Jeff and enough tantalizing footage that I just may hemorrage waiting for the re-issue to hit my porch on March 29th.  It’s going to be a treasure trove of Pearl Jam goodies, from the height of the explosion of their fame.

The embedding code for the EPK is not yet universally friendly, so go to MySpace here and watch it. Some countries may not be able to view it, so here are a few screencaps.  All due thanks to the amazing Donny Anderson, of AllThat’sSacred podcast fame, this might have slipped under our radar for a while as it was on Pearl Jam’s page on this weird website called MySpace (remember that? I think it used to be like Facebook, but it’s been so long since I’ve been there I can’t remember… he he he-KD).

Reissue Rock!
