This afternoon (April 5), PearlJam.com posted the news that Ed’s spring tour of the southern U.S. has just been postponed until November as he recuperates from a back injury that’s caused some temporary nerve impairment in his right arm (which means playing the uke right now can’t be a lot of fun). PearlJam.com says the injury happened earlier this year.
The tour was supposed to start next week, on April 10 in Las Vegas. The rescheduled dates begin on Halloween in Las Vegas and continue along the same path. Glen Hansard will be the opening act, as planned.
PearlJam.com quotes PJ manager Kelly Curtis saying, “Eddie is frustrated beyond measure, but remains positive that come this summer all will be back in good form.”
Fans with April/May Eddie solo tickets will have an opportunity to either get a refund or to use those same tickets for the rescheduled fall date. Those will Ten Club tickets will be getting an email with details.
Eddie, we hope you have a smooth, speedy recovery, and that you feel 100% soon.
