Hawaii sounds like a good place to be on New Year’s Eve; Eddie Vedder sure thinks so. He popped up at Bill Maher’s annual show at the Blaisdell Theatre in Honolulu on Tuesday night (Dec. 31), and played a quick set before Maher took the stage.
Maher tweeted a picture of Ed (in his ‘Every Mother Counts’ t-shirt) on stage:

According to the Honolulu Pulse, EV played two songs, The Beatles’ “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” (on guitar and harmonica), and Amanda Palmer’s “Ukulele Anthem” (on uke). Michael Moore and Sean Penn were also on hand to introduce Maher. Maher also tweeted a pic of himself, Eddie and Sean Penn off stage:
