Mad Season (McCready, Cornell, McKagan & Martin) To Perform With the Seattle Symphony

by Jessica Letkemann on December 15, 2014

Mike McCready, Chris Cornell, Duff McKagan and Barrett Martin will join forces for a special Mad Season performance at and with the Seattle Symphony on January 30, 2015 as part of the symphony’s annual Sonic Evolution concert.

Tickets for the Sonic Evolution concert are on sale now at Seattlesymphony.org and there is a four ticket limit.

Before Mike, Chris, Duff and Barrett perform at the event that night, Mike and the Seattle Symphony (led by musical director Ludovic Morlot) will premiere a piece McCready conceived called “Waking The Horizon.” Members of Vocalpoint! Seattle will also be a part of the piece’s performance.

Earlier in the evening, the symphony itself will premiere a Pearl Jam inspired composition and a Nirvana inspired composition (“Beyond Much Difference” by Angelique Poteat and “Ashes” by Yann Robin).
